What is Carbon Negative?
Carbon Negative implies emitting less than zero carbon dioxidethe or it's equivalent (CO2e) greenhouse gasses.
How it's possible for Zero Co2?
Since it's not possible to produce less than zero volume of Co2, carbon-negative measures the net emission of Co2 and other greenhouse gases.

As the COP27 summit up in next couple of weeks to discuss the climate changes, there is one country that is already carbon-negative in the World
Bhutan it is
Yes, this small Himalayan country from the Asia region emerged as the first country to become carbon negative in 2017.
The Numbers
Bhutan produces 2 million tonnes for CO2 every year but consumes 7 million tonnes per year.
How did it achieve this?
Bhutan stands out of the crowd with 70% of it's land covered with trees. It's constitution says min 60% of land should be covered with green all the time.
The Culture
It's part of the Bhutanese culture to give the importance to the environment and protect the trees.

Bhutan is focused on using the Hydroelectric power generated from it's plenty of river sources. This shift helps them to remain carbon-negative.
